COMMUNICATION
This section will outline how I kept communication clear and concise throughout the project and how any issues, if any, were solved.
10/01/2022 - Year 8 & 9
-
Gave the students a brief introduction about the Polaroid project
-
Reminded them that an email was sent with information
-
Addressed questions from the class and teacher
-
Asked them to prepare for ideas beforehand
-
Explained to them what their ethos word is
-
The year 8 class was found to be more enthusiastic than the year 8 class
These two year groups were fairly easy to handle, In particular the year 7 pupils. They were very enthusiastic and cooperative, making the process swifter.
11/02/2022 - Year 10 & 11
We arranged a day and time to brief the students on the project by initially providing them with an email, then followed by an in-person briefing. The form tutor asked various questions as well as the pupils, such as how they could prepare. The overall engagement was high although the group was more of a challenge to control. This challenged me and my partners overall leadership and maturity. When photographing the students, we took them outside for a better setting – the students ensured they kept their masks on and maintained a caring pose, with their hands behind each other’s backs. The form tutor assisted us, and the students were engaged with us.
Year 12 & 13
Year 12 students were easily controlled and behaved well. They were respectful and quickly arranged themselves to get their picture taken. The photograph was, in effect, taken very quickly, allowing my group to get through many forms in one morning session.

We used various communication mediums such as email and speech to communicate with various people related to our project. In the communication above, we were informing the form tutor we would be coming to photograph the students and to brainstorm some ideas. We also encountered some confusion on the teachers part, which invoked our problem solving skills and so we clarified this calmly and emailed him back saying there was nothing to worry about and that we would handle it.
FEEDBACK
I created a Microsoft Forms Survey sheet that collected a series of responses from one of the form groups that we visited. I have uploaded screenshots of the digital responses below.
